Dr. Ankit S Vyas

Dr. Vyas is a Consultant Urologist, Uro-oncologist, Minimally invasive surgeon  and Andrologist currently practising at Manipal Hospitals, Goa. Dr. Vyas is highly qualified, having obtained his MBBS from  Dhule, Maharashtra. He completed his Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery from Government Medical College and Superspeciality Hospital, Nagpur. Further, he specialized with a M.Ch. in Urology (Genitourinary Surgery) from the reputed and  one of the most prestigious institute of Western India - Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai. Upon completion, he continued to work there as an Assistant Professor  Dr. Vyas possesses immense experience across multiple urological subspecialties, including Endourology, Uro-Oncology, Laparoscopic Surgeries,  Renal Transplant, Female Urology, Paediatric Urology and Andrology, having successfully performed numerous surgeries in each area.

Dr. Vyas has significant high-volume experience in transplant surgery, encompassing both Laparoscopic Donor Nephrectomies and Recipient Surgery.He also routinely manages stone disease with procedures such as Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL), Ureteroscopy (URS/URSL), Cystolithotripsy, and specialised , techniques like Endoscopic Combined Intrarenal Surgery (ECIRS), Supine PCNL and RIRS. He provides comprehensive cancer care, executing major oncological surgeries including Radical Nephrectomy, Partial nephrectomy, Radical Cystectomy, Radical Orchiectomy, Partial and Total Penectomy, and Pelvic Lymph Node Dissection (PLND).

Dr. Vyas is well-versed in managing complex cases through procedures like different types of Urethroplasties,   Ureterocalicostomy , Ureteric tapering surgeries and Augmentation Cystoplasty. His proficiency extends to advanced laparoscopic procedures such as Lap Nephrectomy, Lap pyeloplasty, lap ureterolithotomy, lap orchidopexy , lap cyst droofing. Lap assisted pcnls ,and others. He has a keen interest in Andrology - male sexual health and has expertise in surgeries like Penile Implants,  chordee corrections, TESA, microsurgeries. He also has a keen interest in neuro-Urology  , CPPS/CP , Interstitial cystitis , overactive bladder , neurogenic bladder. Dr. Vyas is also actively involved in research, having published several papers on various aspects of urology and andrology.
