Dr. Akshay Jain

Dr. Akshay is a dedicated Medical Gastroenterologist at Manipal Hospital, Goa, who specialises in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. 
He holds an MBBS degree from JLN Medical College, Ajmer (Rajasthan University of Health Sciences). He further specialised by completing his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Internal Medicine at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi, followed by a DM in Gastroenterology from MS Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore.

Dr. Akshay also completed a Fellowship in Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) from Aryavart Hospital, Meerut. He has attended several workshops on Basic Life Support, Cancer Care, and Endoscopy to ensure he can provide holistic care for his patients.

Dr. Akshay is well-versed in treating and managing complex gastrointestinal, hepatic, and pancreatic cases. He is proficient in performing diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopies and colonoscopies, including critical interventions such as polypectomies, acute GI bleed management, and variceal banding. Additionally, he is trained in advanced endoscopic procedures, including ERCP and EUS, and has specialised expertise in interpreting complex liver function tests and hepatobiliary imaging modalities.
